Trapped In Paradise

Each year readers and authors of Black romance gather to celebrate their love of Black romance novels. This event is called the Romance Slam Jam, which celebrated its 15 year anniversary in 2010. I along with a few other authors wrote novellas set on the cruise the Romance Slam Jam Crystal Anniversary Cruise was to be on, and we donated all proceeds to charity. We had a great time on the cruise and raised well over $1000 for the South Side Help Center (an HIV awareness program in Chicago).

Trapped In Paradise was another challenge I created for myself. Those of you familiar with my work know I’m not quite a traditional romance author (traditional = the plot is almost all around the romance). I admire authors who can write traditional romance. Probably because I can’t. See that word can’t? Well, I hate it, so I set out to write a traditional romance. By the end, I loved what I’d written. And there have been plenty of story lines I’ve written I haven’t liked.

Trapped In Paradise

After escaping an abusive marriage, Saundra Write swore never to allow anyone to trap her again. Then comes along Jeremy King, the kind of man any woman would beg to be trapped in paradise with.
